POWHERFUL WOMAN – BRAEDE HARRIS

We’re so excited to introduce you to our first feature in our PowHerFul Initiative. If you’re a pizza lover, you’ve likely met Braede from LovePizza. Aside from creating your favourite monthly pizza features, she is a huge believer in community work and advocacy. You’ll find Braede supporting local small businesses and giving back to our community. Throughout the year, LovePizza supports various charities within our city. One of her biggest inspirations is her dear Aunt who has been a social worker for the YWCA for 30 years. She uses the knowledge she’s learned from her to guide her in parenthood, work and community. Braede is kind-hearted, positive, and our community’s biggest cheerleader.

We asked her to provide one piece of advice we could share with you.

“Find something that really makes your heart tick. Whether it’s your work, a hobby, an activity, a charity. Get emotional and passionate, share it. And on the flip side, always stay curious. Ask questions, find out what makes those around you excited, always listen with an open mind and empathic heart. Human connection is such a gift and the basis of life long learning – there’s so much power in passion and curiosity.”
